About the Michigan Environmental Council

Michigan Environmental Council, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is a coalition of more than 60 organizations created in 1980 to lead Michigan’s environmental movement to achieve positive change through the public policy process.  MEC combines deep environmental policy expertise with close connections to key state and federal decision makers to rally broad and powerful alliances in support of reforms.  With our member groups and partners in the environmental, public health and faith communities, MEC staff work to ensure that Michigan families will always enjoy healthy waters, clean beaches, beautiful landscapes and vibrant communities.

  3. Hi, we wrote a comprehensive article about fire pit safety for the readers of our blog. We interviewed a Michigan fire chief to get his input and have a detailed article at this page: http://www.homeleisure.com/blog/safety-tips-using-fire-pit/

We think this piece of content would be of interest to your readers and to people in Michigan where fire pits are used quite a bit, even in the fall. Would you consider adding this link to a blog post or roundup of links for your readers?

Thanks and we enjoy your blog.
